Based on recent statistics, the count of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024. Between 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the amount of female centenarians nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600. We are keen to receive stories from centenarians, their loved ones or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s seismic events and shifts.
